In 1998 Rose Wanjiku Mwangi was trapped for four
days beneath the rubble of the bombed American
embassy in Nairobi, Kenya.
Attempts were made by rescuers of many
nationalities to save her, but, when she was lifted
out, their efforts proved to have been in vain."
