The plaque says, "This is the oldest state building in Maryland. It was used by the commissioners for emitting bills of credit from 1837 to 1991 by the treasury of the written shore from 1779 to 1881 by the Maryland State Treasury from 1852 to 1903, and has been used by the Maryland State Department of Education and omens surge that gate.
The restoration of the building has been modified through the interest of visitors."
