The Wayfinder Mosaic was the first major public artwork of Susan Champeny. It was commissioned by the Cultural Coalition of Worcester in 2007 and installed in Federal Square as part of the City's new WAYFINDER signage system.
The mosaic contains four 6' high by 2' wide panels at the base of a tall square sign identifying downtown Worcester. The theme, according to the artist, was "The Spirit and History of Downtown Worcester" created in ceramic tile mosaic.
