"Contemporary outbuildings concentrated to the east and near north
(rear) sides of the house. A two-room doll house (ca. 1870s)
was located just east of the main house. The doll house remained
on the property until 1949 when it was purchased by Mr. and Mrs.
Ben H. Kinkhorst and moved to Brunswick, Missouri. (The Brunswicker, Brunswick, Sept. 29, 1949, p. 1, col. 6.)
"Mrs. Kinkhorst was collaterally related through her great-grandmother who was Redding f s first cousin, to the original builder-owner, William R. Redding. Mr. and Mrs. Kinkhorst purchased the Redding-Hill house in 1955 and shortly after that date returned the doll house (moved in 1949) to its original location. "In 1955 the house was purchased by Mr. and Mrs. Ben H. Kinkhorst.
Mrs. Kinkhorst's great-grandmother was a first cousin of the
original builder-owner, William R. Redding. Since the death of
Mrs. Kinkhorst in 1962, the property has been owned jointly by her
