Within the shadow of the McKinley Monument in Niagara Square, WBEN-AM 930 buried a time capsule. It was placed in conjunction with the City of Buffalo, Wagner Monuments (the capsule designer), and Speier Displays & Party Rentals. The capsule was buried December 14, 1999 and is to be opened January 1, 2100. It is unknown what is inside.
