The plant and plaque are located on the left side of the main entrance to the Howard County Historical Society Museum. The plaque says, "This Plant a Living Legacy Project Honoring the Bicentennial of the United States Constitution was founded by The Howard County Garden Club and dedicated on September 16, 1987." .
