And this from the city's web, and they got it wrong. The time capsule was buried at the Sesquicentennial and to be opened on the Bicentennial.:
"In 1983 a "Time Capsule" was placed into the ground near the statue of David Rice Atchison at the Clinton County Courthouse. The time capsule is to be opened in the year 2033, at the time of Plattsburg's Sesquicentennial Celebration." ~ Plattsburg City
