As one of the Founding Fathers of the United States, the Plaza of Liberty is a good location for this statue.

Patrick Henry was one of the 56 delegates to the First Continental Congress which met briefly in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1774. He was a passionate orator for independence in Virginia.

He served as the first and sixth Governor of the State of Virginia, from 1776 to 1779 and from 1784 to 1786.

Life size statue is on a cement block with plaques on the sides.
