From the Sisters Ranger Station, travel generally NW on US20 for 12.2 miles. Turn right onto FR12 and continue for 0.9 miles. Turn right on FR1216 and continue about 1.0 mile to the corner on the right.
Type of survey mark: 3-1/4" brass cap on iron pipe; rising 4"

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The corner is about 280' SSE from the centerline of FR1216. There are PROPERTY BOUNDARY and LAND SURVEY MONUMENT signs mounted on a U-post which bears S from the corner, 30" distant. In addition there is a PROPERTY BOUNDARY sign mounted on a bent over (and misplaced) T-post which bears SW, 22" distant. Found two Douglas firs each with a healed blaze, yellow BEARING TREE tag and LAND SURVEY MONUMENT sign on the backside. Also found a LOCATION POSTER on an old bearing tree in the NW quadrant, now a decayed stump.

Deschutes Land Trust property E; Deschutes National Forest land W of corner.
