Originally the Ryde Baptist Church had built the 'triangular shaped' church just over Dobson Crescent in 1961, but when it was too small they negotiated to buy the Seventh-day Adventist Church (and block), which was demolished to build the current Baptist Church, Northcross School, and community ministry centre.
On speaking with Ben Rodgers, the associate Pastor, I found a photo of the older church, that had been used by the Ryde SDA church, until they moved into the 'triangular' church they are currently using. The older church being demolished for the current complex. It may have been owned by the Baptist community all the time, and the SDA's used the church on the Saturday.
