The courthouse houses the local arm of the British Columbia Provincial Court. In this building Initial Appearances, Hearings and Arraignment Hearings are held once a month. Arraignment Hearings are held once a month at 9:30 in Courtroom 143. Specific days are TBA.

This courthouse was officially opened on June 24th, 1991 by Attorney General, The Honourable Russell G. Fraser. Unstaffed, this court is manned by personnel from the Cranbrook Courthouse.

This court also conducts Family Court, Small Claims Court and Criminal Court.
