The uninhabited island Great Stirrup Cay was acquired from the Belcher Oil Company and developed by Norwegian Cruise Lines into a private cruise destination. The cruise line erected this nautical flagpole to fly the Great Stirrup Cay, Norwegian Cruise Lines, and Bahamas flags over the island.
You can see the these flags flying on nautical flagpoles in several locations on the island. This is the first one you will encounter, high on a peninsula, as the tender ships take you into the island's sheltered port.
