Michal Olšiak, born in 1978 in Ždár nad Sázavou, deals i.a. with creation of monument concrete sculptures of various animals, creatures, fairy tale figures etc.
The statue was commisioned by municipality of a small vilage Slavetín, near Zdirec nad Doubravou. Why stag? Just head of stag is distinct part of coat-of-the-arms of the village. Three meters high statue of stag made of coloured concrete is located just at the dge of the forest located eastwardly from the village. The statue was inaugurated in July 2012.
