The Roseburg National Cemetery was established in 1897 and is located next to the original Soldier's Home which was originally built in 1888 and then replaced with the current Hospital Building (listed in the National Register of Historic Places) in 1917. The Hospital Building is currently home to an art gallery. This cemetery is sandwiched between the former hospital building and an elementary school and easy to miss if you're not paying attention.
The majority of the veterans graves here are either standing headstones or ground-level markers, but the oldest graves contain more customized designs.
