The VFW Remembrance Wall is dedicated to all veterans, particularly from Roseburg and most likely Douglas County, who have served our country in various wars, from World War I to present. In the center of the monument is a POW/MIA flagpole and marker. In the back of the monument is a reproduction of the front of USS Missouri, which was the ship where the Japanese surrendered, thus ending World War II, in Tokyo Bay, on September 5, 1945.
There are concrete walls that surround the POW/MIA monument that contain many stone plaques with pictures of servicemen who have served in various armed conflicts. Each plaque contains a QR code from which a smartphone can access to read more about each individual's bio and service accomplishments.

Description of Memorial: This Wall of Remembrance stands out greatly from the street and our family noticed the flagpoles and the reproduction of the USS Missouri while driving past it. I stopped, took some pictures and admired the work that went into this memorial.
