Salmon Kingsley, Jr. is one of three Revolutionary War veterans buried at the Newburgh Cemetery in Livonia, Michigan. Kingsley, born in Conneticut in 1755, served from 1775 to 1783 in a company of minutemen that aided in the defense of Boston. He brought his family west to Livonia, Michigan in 1825 and died there two years later in 1827.
