Prof. Ph.Dr. Miroslav Tyrš (narozen jako Friedrich Emmanuel Tirsch) (17. zárí 1832, Decín – 8. srpna 1884, Oetz, Tyrolsko) byl ceský národní obrozenec nemeckého puvodu, kritik, historik umení, estetik, profesor dejin na UK a na CVUT v Praze, predseda výtvarného odboru Umelecké besedy a clen poroty pro socharskou výzdobu Národního divadla v Praze. Podílel se na založení organizovaného telovýchovného hnutí v Cechách, zejména Sokola.

Miroslav Tyrš (born Friedrich Emmanuel Tirsch) (September 17, 1832, Decin - Aug. 8, 1884, Oetz, Tyrol) was a Czech national revivalist German origin, critic, art historian, esthetician, professor of history at Charles University and the Czech Technical University in Prague Chairman of the Department of Fine Arts and a member of the panel discussions for sculptural decoration of the National Theatre in Prague. He participated in the founding of Sports organized movement in Bohemia, especially Sokol.
