The Guildford Grammar School Chapel also known as the Chapel of St Mary and St George was built near the site of an early 1836 church, built by Missionary Society, which was first permanent church ever erected in WA of which nothing remains. The Chapel was built in the Gothic Perpendicular style between February 1912 with the foundation stone being laid on July 2nd and was consecrated on March 25th 1914.
