Dne 5. cervence 1868 po odpoledním sv. požehnání ubíral se z Doubravického chrámu Páne pocetný pruvod doprovázen jsa farárem Janem Soukopem i kooperátorem P. Rat. Hákem do Kunicek. Zbožná obec tamní vzdelala totiž místo bývalé drevené zvonicky úhlednou kaplu, vyzdobivši ji obrazem sv. verozvestu slovanských i sv. Floriana, kteréžto obrazy receného dne dotceným farárem církevne požehnány byly.
U kríže pred Kunickami setkal se pruvod s kunickými družickami, ježto ovencené obrazy nesly cestou májkami vysázenou až ku kaplicce, venci chvojovými krásne vyzdobené. Nový zvon opatren jsa ceským nápisem: "Sv. Cyrillu a Metodeji obec Kunická za Jana Soukopa faráre Doubravického 1. P. 1987" i obrazem vypuklým sv. apoštoluv našich, privítal poutníky. Po písni "Otce náš, milý Pane" recnil farár z kazatelny vedle kaple schválne upravené a ovencené k zástupu, jež nejméne 12 set duší cítal. Po svecení obrazuv konány v kaple litanie a motlitby k sv. apost. a pak na vyzvání kazatelovo následovala oféra, aby kapla "Cyrillka" na vecné casy zapsána býti mohla do dedictví sv. Cyr. a Meth. v Brne.
Sebralo se 13 zl. 15 krejc. rak. císla, ostatek doloží obec Kunická a dostane se jí takto výborného kazatele v Knihách, jež ve vzdálené té chrámu farského osade zajisté s prospechem apostolovati budou. Po náboženské slavnosti, kterou rány z moždíruv dalekému okolí zvestovaly, castovaly Kunicky své hosty dospelé i školní mládež, která mnohou písní spolecnost obveselila strídajíc se s hudbou národní písne prednášející.
Zvon Kunicský váží 25 liber, byv posvecen veledustojným panem prelátem Ondrejem Hasnermüllerem v Brne, kdežto ulit byl u vdovy po zemrelém Adalbertu Hillerovi, zvonari.
