Alum Rock Park is one of California's oldest municipal parks. This plaque is located in front of the rangers station. The park is 2.9 km2 and its in the Diablo range of mountains. The park has many miles of trails.

Alum Rock Park The city of San Jose created a park for the people March 13, 1872. Declared a point of historical interst in the honor of its centennial year; 1972. We find the gods of rest of peace and dwellingin this matchless canyon.
