This gas station was built in the 1920's and when the post office built a new building next door, the station went through a remodel and added a slogan to the building that read "next to the Post Office and just as reliable".
At some point the building turned into a coffee shop & newsstand, but now just sits waiting for someone to treat it with some respect for all it's service.
The pump sitting in front says the gas is .28 8/10 cents per gallon, and a purchase of 40 gallons for $9.18, How long has it been since you could get gas for that price?
Address of the station: 1304 Friend St. Newberry, SC United States 29108
Type of Gas Station: Abandon
