Located in front of Douglas County Courthouse is a multi-war monument comprised of a number of plaques monumented into a low-lying rock wallthat forms a quiet sitting area for visitors. One of these plaques recognizes the names of men from Douglas County who fought in World War I. The names are:

There is a nearby plaque that was dedicated to all Douglas County veterans of several armed conflicts in 1971 and re-dedicated in 2010 and with another granite freestanding monument nearby.
