The Hillarys dog beach is a 1km stretch of sand facing the Indian Ocean. Popularity varies from a few dozen dogs on a weekday to, at times, over 200 on the weekends, the beach is a 50m walk from the parking area where there are toilets , showers for humans and canines, mobile dog wash and coffee van on weekends.
With the amount of dogs on the weekends there is very rarely any trouble between them .
