The monument is made of granite with the honor roll mounted containing 632 men who served in WWI. It was dedicated November 11, 1939, designed by Robert Allen Cook and Wendell T. Phillips and carved by Milfordians. Milford was known for the granite carvers. It is also a WPA project.
The monument is located in Draper Park, that contains additional memorials.
Some of the men listed on the honor roll are: Frederick Holmes, James W Chapin, John W. Powers and Fred E Wilcox.
