Der Bahnhof Ahrweiler liegt an der Wilhelmstraße. Der Schlusssstein des einstigen Eingangsportals zeigt die Jahreszahl 1880. Das Empfangsgebäude wurde am 4. April 1991 unter Denkmalschutz gestellt. Das Gebäude steht heute wegen einer neuen Trassenführung nicht mehr direkt an der Schienentrasse und es dient auch nicht mehr als Bahnhofsgebäude; vielmehr sind darin die Caritas-Geschäftsstelle Ahrweiler und die Verwaltung des Dekanats Ahr - Eifel untergebracht. Die Ahrweiler Tafel nutzte von ihrer Gründung im Jahr 2006 einige Jahre lang einen Raum im Keller des ehemaligen Bahnhofsgebäudes.
