The Paul Henry Thornapple Trail in Middleville, Michigan is part of the North Country Trail which extends from Maine in the east to North Dakota in the west. Following the trail south will take you into the Yankee Springs Recreation area where the trail winds through meadow and woods where there is an abundance of wildlife. Be sure to wear a blaze orange jacket or vest when hiking the trail during the month of November as dear hunting is very popular in these area.
