This bronze sculpture is entitled "The Crucible" and is dated "1913-1914".
All of the sculptures here are by Icelandic artist Einar Jonsson.

The work depicts a young woman wearing a long gown arching toward the skies in apparent prayer. There are several other smaller images depicted in the work- presumably the woman when she became a mother, and another at her death.
