Centenarian Minnie L.C. Wicker was born April 2, 1907 and died September 21, 2007. Her grave is located in Saint Matthews A.M.E. Church Cemetery which is located at 6875 SC Highway 219
Newberry, SC 29108.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Wicker, and she is survived by her two sons, David and Eugene.

Some world events the happened during the 100 years of her life include WWI, WWII, The first man to land on the moon, The removal of the Berlin Wall, The Space Shuttle Challenger disaster, and of course who will ever forget 9-11, the day that changed America forever!

In January of her birth year (1907) An earthquake, in Kingston, Jamaica killed more than 1,000 people.

In January of her death year (2007) China tested it's first ballistic missile capable of destroying satellites in Earths orbit.
