The 1928 Florence Hummerston Kiosk has been painstakingly dismantled, at a cost of $400.000,relocated and rebuilt at a cost of $3.48million on an artificial island in the Elizabeth Quay redevelopement and will soon reopen as a family-friendly cafe
The Government has also paid $7.25 million in compensation to the operators of the Grand Palace Chinese restaurant which held a 44-year lease on the building,
