The headstone is a modern one of gray granite, with floral detail. Below "Wiley R. Ward" are his personal dates, "Sept. 8, 1869" and "Feb. 21, 1912", separated by the Woodmen of the World emblem. In the center is "Ella Ward Shoup", with her personal dates, "Apr. 26, 1874" and "Jan. 2, 1954" separated by the emblem of the Order of the Eastern Star. Finally, Jobn Ernest Shoup is listed as "J.E. Shoup", with his personal dates, "Mar. 2, 1884" and "Nov. 24, 1962" separated by the compass and the square of the Freemasons.
