On a wooden slat seat, painted 'mission brown', is what looks like an anodised aluminium plaque, with two of the Greek symbols of the 'caduceus', each with 2 snakes on a winged pole, often used as a symbol of medicine.

The wooden seat is right beside the popular coastal walk.
Apart from the two caduceus (a frequent symbol of medicine), the brown 'anodised' plaque reads:
In Loving Memory of
Dr GLEN MACKINTOSH
Wonderful Father, Husband, Doctor & Friend
1st May 1944 - 6th June 1994
Peace

From online searching it seems that Glencairn Francis MacKintosh formerly lived in Birchgrove (?Sydney), before living in Port Macquarie. His obituary notice was placed in the Sydney Morning Herald, 7 June, 1994.
