Couple minutes of walk from the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe Vistors Centre you can find beautiful, from glass, wood and stainless steel made, look-out tower - Wilhelm Swarovski Observatory. The tower is offering spectacular views with the most modern Swarowski optical devices into the high mountains around Grossglockner Mt. and also into Pasterze Glacier world. Marmots, ibexes and Grossglockner alpinists can be closely observed...

Wilhelm Swarovski Observatory was the founder of renown Swarovski company with the most modern and powerful optical appliances. The company is famous for its crystals as well.

The Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe is the touristic centre (and the highest point of the Grossglockner High Alpine Road) in the middle of Hohe Tauern National Park. The place is named after the visit of Kaiser Franz-Josef made here in 1856. Upon arrival you stand directly before Austria´s highest mountain, the Grossglockner (3 798 m), with a view of the longest glacier in the eastern Alps, the Pasterze.
