The mural Valour Remembered honours all veterans from Cranbrook, the front side of the mural is the war memorial and is inscribed with the names of those brave men who fought and died in WW I, WW II, Korea and Boer War.

Most of mural depicts war scenes from WW I and WW II. On each end are the traditional Canadian poppy inspired by the poem "Poppies Grow in Flander's Field" by Lieutenant-Colonel John McCrae on May 3, 1915.
The mural was commissioned by the Cranbrook Royal Canadian Legion and was competed by talented artist Joseph Cross in 1999. It measures 8 feet by 56 feet.
There are two plaques attached to the ends:
