Out front of the present fire house in Sicamous is the bell from the original hire house in Sicamous.

On the corner of Martinson Avenue and Whitehead Street, the old bell is mounted within a heavy wood frame inside a concrete block planter. Atop the frame is a slightly smaller than life size sculpture of a fireman in full gear. Planter and all are out front of the fire hall.
We have yet to find any information on when that original fire hall was built or when the bell was bought and installed. We can say, though, that it is a steel bell, not a brass or bronze bell. It is about a Number 30 in size.
