The Broadview School was the first or second building to be moved to the RJ Haney Heritage Village & Museum, which today contains more than a dozen heritage buildings, both original and reconstructions.

Constructed in 1917, the one room school now rests atop a full concrete basement which houses a tea room. Each year in June the village hosts "Haney’s Pioneer School program" which includes school reenactments of school life in the pioneer years of Salmon Arm. Moved to the Heritage Village in 1988, the school was restored over the course of at least two years. The school operated from 1918 to 1986 and was donated to the Heritage Village not long after.

The school and the village are open for viewing from early May to late September each year.

Broadview School

The one room Broadview School was constructed over the winter of 1917, and officially opened in January 1918, and saved neighbouring children a long walk to Canoe or to town. It was moved to the village in 1988 and now houses Marjorie’s Tea Room in the school’s gymnasium. School re-enactments occur regularly in June during Haney’s Pioneer School program. disassembled.
