The Nature Bay Interpretive Center was a great place to start our visit to Marine Peace Park. The staff was very helpful and answered all our questions.

They have numerous birds on display as well as an informational sign board about the reptiles and amphibians found in the area. There are also butterflies on display.

Maps and brochures are available about the nearby birding trails, where you could see any one of these: Western Grebe, Red-Winged Blackbird, Yellow-headed Blackbird, Great Blue Heron, Tree Swallow, Ring-billed Gull and Osprey. The one of the Osprey nests is near the wharf.

Nature Bay Interpretive Center is open from June to August.
