David Adickes is a Huntsville native and actually attended this high school. He is the creator of the 67' Sam Houston statue that stands along I-45 in Huntsville.

This new gallery will replace Adickes' SculpturWorx studio in a sprawling Houston Heights-area paint warehouse. The artist spends three days a week at this site.
