John W. Addis Jr. - Vanderbilt, Pennsylvania



This memorial honors John W. Addis Jr., a civic leader of the Vanderbilt Community, who erved the Vanderbilt community as a Constable, Police Officer, Truant Officer, Vanderbilt Borough Councilman and Mayor, a position he held for over 30 years.

Mr.Addis served with the United States Army during World War II and received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star medals.

He was a lifetime member of Vanderbilt United Methodist Church and the DL&V Fire Company.

He was Central Committeeman of the Democratic Party and organized and coached Little League Baseball for many years.
