Plaque
V.
In Memory of
All Who served Their Country
The Royal Canadian Legion
Salmon Arm B. C.
July 1981

We honor all veterans who fought, served and gave the supreme sacrifice for Canada in many foreign lands throughout the world.

The Mt. Ida Cemetery has approximately 1,550 interments and is approaching capacity. The City of Salmon Arm is in the process of acquiring a third parcel of land. The cemetery was established about 1917 with two known burials.

All the headstones are flush to the ground for easier maintenance in most of the cemetery, however in the very old section there are still some very interesting upright headstones. The lawn areas were lush and green with large trees surrounding most of the sections.
