Tanker 215, at Station 21, supplies water for fire suppression in areas not supplied with county water. This department is recognized by the NC Dept of Insurance as one the best water transporters in the state.

A video was made of the department with assistance of other departments for instruction on transporting and dumping water in drop tanks.
"Tanker 215 is a 1998 Freightliner FL80 Chassis constructed by Semo. T-215 has a 500 gpm pump with 1,250 gallons of water. T-215 is unique because it is four wheel drive and has a Compressed Air Foam System with an independent motor that operates the pump and is separate from the road engine. T-215 has a front bumper nozzle that is controlled from the cab along with ground sweeps for grass and woods fires. T-215 has three dumps that are also controlled from the cab that can be used during a water shuttle to fill drop tanks. T-215 is housed at Station 1 and responds to woods fires, grass fires and structure fires."
