Crucible Veteran's Memorial - Crucible, Pennsylvania



This monument started in 2007 as a a World War II monument in Crucible and later became more inclusive, and the group in charge of the memorial sought all veterans who served in the past 60 years that was added to the memorial at a later point of time. The monument has the WWII section that was originally in place, followed by later panels that include the Korea, Vietnam as well as modern era military conflicts that residents of this former coal-mining community in Greene County, Pennsylvania have done their service for their country.

Description of Memorial:
The location is next to the post office and is of a plaza like setting, The Original Plaque is in the center with the Original Names, followed by the World War II names later added as well as the Korean Conflict Names at Left To the right of the original memorial, is the veteran's of the Vietnam, Gulf War, and Iraq Conflicts . Regardless of the Conflict or War, the veteran's first name is on top of their last name. At the left of their name is the seal of their respective branch of service that they did serve in. The Memorial Plaza also contains to light posts and some reflection benches
