"4038 ARSENAL ST   (Photo #3, fifth from left)     1C/1NC
1909
Builder: Wright Gallagher Const Co.
Type/Use: Four-family flat
Structure: Load-bearing brick
Stories: 2
Foundation: Limestone
Roof shape: flat
Roof material: not visible

This red brick four-family building is four bays wide and symmetrical around a two-bay wooden front porch with replacement posts and a balustraded second story. One front door appears to be a contemporary compatible replacement and the other three appear original. The four 4/1 windows at the outer bays appear to be modern replacements, as is one of the two balcony doors. There is a terra cotta cornice on brick corbels and a flat parapet wall with terra cotta coping.

Outbuilding: There is a truncated brick garage; the walls remain, but the rest of the building is gone. (NC)" ~ NRHP Nomination Form
