A large imposing stone Celtic Cross, in the churchyard of Eglwys St Catherines Church. Evidence that it is in fact a War Memorial is not evident from the road, you have to enter the churchyard to read the plaque, inscribed;

"To Glory of God and the imortal memory of over 100 gallant men of Gorseinon & district who fell in the Great Wars of 1914-18
added below;
They did their duty nobly & sacrificed their lives for their homes & Country. Tel Britain, Ye who mark this monument, faithful, to Her they fell, & rest content. 1939-1945"
