Marine Peace Park was dedicated in 1992, and has become a wonderful destination for locals and tourists.

Take a stroll down the fresh water wharf and enjoy the views of the lake and mountain vistas. It is wheelchair accessible and about 135 meters in length. Just to the right of the wharf is an osprey nest perched high above the lake.

The park offers large grassy areas with numerous tables and benches and a very large gazebo for family and friends get-togethers. To cool off: "Why don't you just go jump in a (Shuswap) lake?" from one of the several sandy beaches in the area

Near the World Youth Friendship Garden is a peace pole. Other features are the Nature Center showcasing local flora and fauna and information about the nature trails. One starts near the boat ramp.

There are two plaques near the treed area on the right as you enter the park: a quote by Dag Hammarskjöld from 1954 and the dedication plaque for the park.

During peak season there is a concession stand available.

If there is room you can park near the wharf, during the busy season there is a large parking area near the entrance and Nature Center.
Year built or dedicated as indicated on the structure or plaque: 1992

Full Inscription (unless noted above):
As part of Canada 125 celebrations this park was dedicated Marine Peace Park By the District of Salmon arm Mayor Don Rogers October 8, 1992
