Death: Sep. 29, 1914
Jacksonville
Duval County
Florida, USA
Immigrated to the US in 1848 and was naturalized in 1850. He married Dora and they eventually would have seven children, including: Dillie, Louis, Carrie, Millie, Sophia, A. Samuel, and Annie.
He fought for the Confederacy during the Civil War. He enlisted at Madison, Florida as a Private on February 28, 1863. He enlisted in Company G, 11th Florida Infantry, 11th Regiment. He was observed as being 5'6", of dark complexion, grey eyes, and dark hair.
In 1870 and 1880, he and his family lived in Tallahassee, Leon County, Florida where he worked as a tailor. In 1900, they were living in Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida and he was working as a merchant. In 1910, they were living in Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia."
