EN: The cemetery of Diegten is located southeast of the church on a hill overlooking the village.
According to archaeological investigations, there was already an early medieval burial ground at this location when the church was built in the 13th century.
Today the cemetery is obviously a few meters farther away from the church as in the past, just outside the old churchyard wall. It contains a modern cemetery chapel and about 150 graves.
DE: Der Friedhof von Diegten befindet sich südöstlich der Kirche auf einem Hügel über dem Dorf.
Nach archäologischen Untersuchungen befand sich an dieser Stelle schon ein frühmittelalterliches Gräberfeld, als die Kirche im 13. Jahrhundert gebaut wurde.
Der heutige Friedhof liegt offensichtlich einige Meter weiter von der Kirche entfernt als ursprünglich, gerade ausserhalb der alten Kirchhofsmauer. Darin befindet sich eine moderne Friedhofskapelle und etwa 150 Gräber.
