A cenotaph of rough dressed stone blocks in the form of an obelisk with a smooth stone capping and base.The front and rear faces have a large stone cross in low relief on which is mounted a bronze sword. Below this is the "rising sun" symbol of the AIF, also in bronze, and a "Lest We Forget" inscription
