McDonald County Press was established in 1872. It puts out a paper, called McDonald County News, once per week on Wednesdays. Recently it followed the stream of so many other newspapers in offering an online version. The headquarters is in a rural location about equal distant from the two largest towns in McDonald County -- Anderson (the largest) and Pineville (the county seat). It has not folded, and it is still producing paper copies of the newspaper.
