The Anderson city hall is housed in a former KCS train depot. Across from the parking lot -- convenient for the kiddies when parents have to go in and fight, uh, do something at city hall -- is this playground. The pieces of equipment are old traditional things, not the multi-purpose pieces common in modern playgrounds. And for some reason they are separated from each other by quite a distance; making it a challenge to try to get a single meaningful photo! But it does allow for working off more kid energy when they run from thing to thing.
There is a swing set (4 swings), a merry-go-round, a dome-shaped monkey bars, a slide, and what looks like it was the base of a teeter-totter. A picnic table is available, as well as a couple of benches under a rotting shade structure (not dignified enough to call a pavilion).
In the variables below I have chosen Yes for Restrooms Available, but really all that's here is a porta-potty. Hopefully, when city hall is open, one can use a bit better facilities therein.
