A mural in Queens Park, Loughborough, depicting a desert view through a Moroccan doorway, part of Loughborough in Bloom 2009.
A plaque nearby reads:
"Through the Moroccan arches is a generic view of the desert. Depicted are
four views that a traveller may see when journeying throughNorth Africa,
especially Morocco. The giant cacti and succulentsthrive in desert
landscapes despite minimal rainfall. They are found on most continents and
notably America. The mural has been painted with a minimal use of colour
to compliment its surroundings. Of particular note are the green arches
which echo the colour of the Carillon Tower's copper, canopied roof."
